silsleeve features and pricing
Silsleeve cylinder replacement
The existing Lokasil liners are machined out and replaced by steel liners plated with the well proven low-friction Nikasil running surface. These SilSleeve liners are specially designed to have a top flange which provides more support at the mating face with the cylinder heads, known as a closed-deck construction
Intermediate shaft replacement
For the current 997, Porsche introduced their 5th upgrade for the Intermediate shaft, this using a larger bearing as well as the more substantial rear oil seal to stop leaks in this area. As this latest shaft won't fit the pre-2001 engines, Autofarm have designed a simple conversion to utilise this technology in all 1997-2000 engines
'Big-Bore' conversions
By using Silsleeve liners Autofarm are now able to provide several options for substantial capacity increases:
- 2000-on Boxster 2.7 to 3.0 litres
- 1998-2001 996 3.4 to 3.7 litres
- 2000-on Boxster S 3.2 out to 3.7 litres
- 2002-2005 996 3.6 out to 4.0 litres
Rebuilt engines come with (where relevant):
- Silsleeve rebuilt cylinder block

- Our modified intermediate shaft (for pre-2001 engines)
- The latest 997 intermediate shaft (for 2002-on engines)
