Robin & Matt Enter The Rickshaw Run

04/01/2010
Our very own Workshop Manager and one of our Senior Technicians have entered the Autumn 2010 Rickshaw Run. A 2000 mile race across India over 2 weeks in a 3-wheeled Rickshaw.

In the name of charity and adventure, 2 of our team (Robin Bartholomew & Matt Wiltshire) will race 63 other teams across a range of terrains in vehicles wholly unsuitable for the matter in hand. A 150cc 2-stroke AIR-COOLED 3-wheeled Rickshaw, also known as a Tuk Tuk.

The mighty 'shaw'

There is no specific route, just a start and a finish point. In this case starting from Gantok, Sikkim deep in the Himalayas then heading through Nepal or head for the heat down on the plains.

Ending in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. A picturesque setting with forts that sprout out of the desert and finely sculptured Jain temples, it stands on a ridge of sandstone and is aptly nicknamed 'The Golden City' and is situated in the Rajasthan desert.
