We aim to make buying a Porsche as easy as possible. And let’s face it, as with every decision in life if you know the facts you are more likely to make the right decision! For those seeking peace of mind when buying privately, our inspections arm you with knowledge on what is beneath a shiny exterior, if there are likely to be nasty bills looming or if it’s simply worth the asking price.
Whether you seek a pre or post purchase inspection, we offer a comprehensive 77 Point check on the vehicle, which includes a brief Road Test, electronic Diagnostic checks on post ‘ 89 cars and a Report on findings of the condition of the vehicle, based on our experience of the possible shortcomings.
The report gives an accurate guide to the condition of the vehicle, within the normal limits imposed by a non destructive/dismantling inspection. That is to say this is an inspection only. If further information regarding the vehicle is required, which may require removal of components, this can be carried out at extra cost and we will require the owners full permission.
In our Report accompanying the 77 Point Check we are happy to assist as part of the service if a particular point needs further explanation. Also, if you wish us to check additional items such as the cylinder leakage/compression on 911s with high miles, perhaps the cylinder head studs on the late ‘70s/early ‘80s 911s or oil leaks on 964s, then just ask and we’ll be happy to report on our findings. For the 1989-onwards 911s and Boxsters, Autofarm have invested in all of the required diagnostic equipment, which allows us to read the on-board computers on these later Porsches and interpret any hidden faults.
The standard inspection takes around 2 hours, plus we can pick up and deliver the car back to you or to the vendor’s home or retail premises. Delivery is by fully insured transporter and is subject to our regular delivery charges.
