As much as we wish it didn't happen, we know some owners will leave their cars for a few days/weeks/months without driving them. Unfortunately this can lead to the battery slowly losing its charge over the storage period.
The Multi XS battery charger has combined all the benefits of an intelligent trickle / float charger with the power of a conventional charger. As well as charging batteries both in the dry or out in the weather, the Multi XS constantly monitors the voltage and then only pulses the battery when the voltage drops due to alarms or natural drainage. This eliminates the danger of over charging the battery when left connected and unused for long periods.
The Multi XS has three charging modules, which it uses 'intelligently':
- 'bulk' mode; charges a flat or weakened battery up to 85% efficiency.
- 'absorption' mode; conditioning the battery at a constant voltage to almost 100%.
- 'pulse' mode; monitoring the voltage and if the voltage falls to 95% it will pulse the battery back to 100% efficiency and continue to monitor the voltage switching on and off as required.
The intelligence of the Multi XS allows it to be used on any usable 12volt battery from 1.2Ah to 120Ah so you can use it on cars, boats and even motor-homes!
Comes with conventional crocodile clips and an optional wiring harness for secure battery connection and for difficult-to-access batteries.
