k3 alternator conversions

Imported from Australia, this product is a significant improvement on the early 911's original alternator, producing a reliable 90amps.

This K3 alternator is significantly cheaper than a new OE unit, costs less than the more common option of a Main Dealer reconditioning the car's original unit and is a safer bet than buying a second hand or an 'unofficial' reconditioned unit.

  • Fits all 911s from 1965-1989 (2.0l to 3.2l).
  • All K3s are brand new and come with a full 12 months guarantee.
  • Based on the Bosch unit (slightly modified for each type of 911).
  • As easy to fit as an OE unit. It takes around 3 hours. 
  • More reliable than reconditioned units.
  • Integral regulator units = significantly improved reliability over reconditioned units (although it is worth noting that the seperate regulator in early cars can be left in place to keep the engine bay looking original).
  • To place your order, just tell us the number off the top of your fan housing (901.016.101....or similar) and your car's model/year, then we can select the correct unit for your specific 911.

In our opinion, it no longer makes sense to risk a possibly unreliable second hand or reconditioned unit when the K3 Alternators are so affordable.
