70's 911's such as the S, RS, RSR & ST have long held iconic status and hence have become collectable investments. One of the most sought after (and thus collectable) production Porsche 911's is the 1973 2.7 Carrera RS. With a simple and lightweight specification and its global racing pedigree, for the purist and enthusiast these represented the pinnacle in 911 evolution.
But as many know, owning a 35+ year old car can be seriously expensive. Not least because of potential corrosion issues and worn out parts. Renovation costs, when done to correct Porsche standards, are prohibitive for all but the most fortunate. So whilst it is wonderful to have 'a real classic' in the garage, the practicalities and cost can dampen the pleasure.
Autofarm 911 - what is it?
Using our 37+ years of knowledge and experience we take a sound 'modern' (galvanised) 911 from the last production years of the original 911 design, with its later technology and in particular its improved corrosion protection, and onto this solid base we hand build a totally reconstituted and 'as near new as practical' 911, utilising the classic body style of the original and evocative early 911's. This is a totally bespoke service with a range of body styles and engine options to suit each clients requirements all done to our exacting standards.
Our craftsmen can incorporate modern conveniences such as parking sensors and in car electronics (I-Pod, sat-nav, bluetooth) while retaining a classic look and feel. They are designed to be practical daily 'drivers' all year round, and are as happy pottering around town as on the limit at track-days, as well as being cost effective to maintain.
